Color guard. I don’t even.
Things that are true:
- Being captain does not beget that much power. It’s like being principal of a high school; if you’re stupid or a little kid, it looks like they’ve got a lot of power when they’re really near-powerless figureheads.
- Correcting those that are older than you is not cool. Period.
- Actually performing well as a color guard is more important than meaningless power struggles.
